Look at this glorious hank of yarn! This prize is being donated to the hop by Main Street Yarns & Fibers in Watkinsville. It is by Mountain Colors and is called Weaver's Wool Giant Hank. It contains a whopping 1450 yards, enough to knit almost any garment in a medium size, or enough for a shawl. The retail value of this prize is $64.00. Be on the lookout for more valuable prizes in the next few weeks. We will be posting photos of them here.

We are very pleased to announce the dates for Shop Hop 2008. The hop will be held from Saturday, September 13th through Sunday, September 21st. Please be sure to check the list of shops and hours (to be added soon) so you will know who is open when. Passports go on sale for $1.00 on August 7th. We have a fabulous grand prize for the lucky person who completes his passport by visiting all of the shops and having the passport stamped for a minimum $10.00 purchase. Each shop will also be passing out a free original knit or crochet pattern with purchase. If you visit all 8 shops and have your passport stamped at each, you will be eligible for the grand prize drawing, a $100.00 gift certificate from each shop. If you visit 1-3 shops you will be entered into a drawing for those prizes and visiting 4-8 shops will enter you into a different drawing. So any and all visits are eligible for prizes. The more shops you visit, the better the prizes. Over the next weeks we will be displaying some of the prizes the shops will provide. Please visit this site often and watch for updates. If you have any questions you can ask them here by leaving a comment or call one of the participating shops. Good luck to all!
