Down To The Wire

OK, we are almost there.  Just 6 days before Shop Hop 8 begins.  All the shops are ready for you and welcome you with open arms.  We hope you will take some time and explore our shops to see what we offer locally.  Here are the last two prizes we have for you.

This is an exclusive Needle Nook kit which consists of 9 skeins of Noro Silk Garden and "The Doctor Is In" pattern to make a fabulous colorful shawl.  Retail value of this gift is $108.00.

The last gift is donated by Only Ewe And Cotton Too in Alpharetta.  It is the Oslo Kit from K1C2 and includes 4 skeins of 100% Australian Superwash Merino yarn and 32" size 7 HiyaHiya circular needles.  Retail value of this kit is $50.45.

There you have photos of a sampling of prizes available to you during the hop.  This year we have a special event that will enable you to double your chances of winning.  If you spend $25.00 in any shop you can purchase a second passport and receive a second stamp.  Visit other shops and spend $25.00 and the second passport will be stamped along with your original.  When the hop is over turn in two passports for an additional chance to win.

Our original pattern is a fabulous shawl designed by Jenna of The Whole Nine Yarns.  It has been divided into 7 sections and you can pick up individual sections as you visit the local shops.  If you don't get a chance to visit them all there will still be an opportunity to purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Please come to visit us and see all that we have to offer.  Remember, we are here for you all year round.  Support your local yarn shop.

Thank you.

GET READY FOR SHOP HOP 2014

The Atlanta Area Yarn Shops are gearing up for our 8th annual Shop Hop to be held the week of Sept. 13 - 21, 2014.  This year we have 7 shops participating so there will be a grand prize of $700.00 in shop gift certificates plus all the other prizes donated by the local shops.  It's very easy.  Just purchase a passport, on sale Aug. 7th, for $1.00.  Then visit each shop within the dates listed and get your passport stamped with a $10.00 purchase.  If you get them all stamped, you are eligible for the grand prize plus all the other prizes.  If you don't get them all, you are still eligible for prizes.  Visit your local shop for more information.

This year we have added an additional chance for you to win prizes.  If you purchase $25.00 or more from any shop you can buy another passport and get an additional stamp.  You can earn additional stamps at the other shops to further your chances of winning prizes.  Each time you spend $25.00 or more at one of the 7 shops you can earn additional stamps on your passports.  This doubles your chances of being selected for prizes.

We also have a new wrinkle for the free pattern each shop hands out.  This year we asked Jenna of The Whole Nine Yarns to design a 7 part shawl for us.  You can pick up a part in each of the 7 shops when you get your passport stamped.  It is sort of like a puzzle that you complete.  And when you are done you have a beautiful shawl to cherish for years to come.

Join us for this fun week.  Gather your friends together and make it a party.  See you then.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

Shop Hop 2013 is in the books and the local yarn shop owners would like to thank you for your participation in our event.  It is important that you support LOCAL small business owners as it is difficult for us to compete with big box stores and on-line sellers that don't have the overhead we do.  We carry a high quality product and offer classes and customer service, which is important if you are learning or a seasoned knitter or crocheter.  Please continue to think of us for your crafting needs so that we will be here to help you for a long time to come.  You can't get help off the internet or at the big box stores.  That is what we are here for but can only do it with your help.  Now, off the soapbox and on to the important stuff.

The grand prize winner of $900.00 in shop gift certificates is:

                      ERENDIRA BRUMLEY
